To the Nines at 32 Degrees
By sarahthequeen05, Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 9 commentsI will say this for him- John Mayer tweets some very interesting stuff. But his first one today, a suggestion that I “wear the first outfit [I] try on”, would have had me walking out the door in my underwear, a hoodie, and my Ann Taylor flip flops.
And it’s freezing outside. And the above ensemble doesn’t even remotely fit the dress code.
So I’m wearing the SECOND outfit I tried on- a turtleneck sweater and black pants. Cozy and dress-code compliant.
My immune system still isn’t up to par. I can tell by the vast amounts of snot that I’ve been producing over the past 2 days in an attempt to fight off the cold/random snot-producing virus that everyone seems to be passing around down here. At least the temperature seems to have stabilized a bit, not going 80 to 32 every day.
“I will not get sick!” That’s my mantra for this frigid Wednesday. Lots of tea and juice and water and Rachel’s yogurt and I should be fine. Keep your fingers crossed.

Be well!
You will be well, you will be well. . .
...HA!! stinky boys. Sending
Oh, John, you are so wise!
Keep your head, and everything else covered and lots of fluids in ya. I can tell you first hand sinus infections are not anything fun to have.

YOU WILL NOT GET SICK! Eat
Take some Airborne!
Ok, so far, so...not bad.
Ok, so far, so...not bad. Hubby was up last night throwing up, (and being the fabulous wife that I am, totally slept through it all), so I was worried about that along with the snot stuff, but haven't had any nausea. Very tired, developed scratchy throat, but drank my body weight in liquids (white tea, green juice, lots and lots of water), ate my probiotics and citrus, and sucked on Vitamin C drops.
I'm out of Airborne, but I do have these immunity-boosting gummy bears that I got at Target that are basically like Airborne for kids. I chewed on them when I was in chemo and never got sick...so they must be kind of effective. Or, at least that's what I'm telling myself because they are yummy. Basically just loads of vitamin C, green tea extract, and some echinacea extract.
I did bundle up this morning and wear my puffy down coat (which I've never had to wear down here in FL before) and polarfleece earmuff things (the kind that wrap around the back of your head). Going to bed early tonight, definitely. As for the Carolina game, well, I have to confess that although I was raised on college sports, I'm not a big watcher of them or any other sort of TV, but I'll hear all about the game from my dad tomorrow, I'm sure. And I'm reading skirt! blogs, which are always inspiring!
So, John Mayer doesn't bathe? What's up with THAT?!?
OK so it's from Charlene's blog...
