Debra Hensley-Social Stimulator
By by: Donna Ison, Monday, January 3, 2011Looking at her accomplishments, it seems Debra has more hours in the day than most of us mere mortals. Currently, she is running a successful State Farm Insurance company, raising a teenager, championing Local First Lexington, serving as president of JustFund KY and on several boards about town, planning her community garden, and heading up two vital projects. The first, Debra’s Social $timulus, is all about “people, planet, and purpose.” It hosts events intended to connect individuals, forward initiatives, and provide incentives for growth. This month is “Crossing Delaware.” The evening will focus on recognizing and revitalizing the Delaware Street area of town. But, ever looking forward, Debra is anxious to launch her latest undertaking, The Plantory, which will serve as “a place where good grows” by providing affordable space and resources to “do-good” organizations in Central Kentucky. What is her secret? “Early to bed, early to rise, work like hell, and advertise.”
